Alright, a few weeks ago, the ten best albums of the past twenty years as decided by Spin magazine were announced. Yes, yes, I know...sure, all of them are seminal albums in certain genres....but some of them are dated and when i look at this list, I only get really excited about a handful of them. I guess everyone has their own choices, but you know that these were all picked by mid 30's editors that listened to this stuff in college.
the spin list:
1 Radiohead - OK Computer
2 Public Enemy - It Takes A Nation of Millions To Hold Us Back
3 Nirvana - Nevermind
4 Pavement - Slanted And Enchanted
5 The Smiths - The Queen Is Dead
6 Pixies - Surfer Rosa
7 De La Soul - 3 Feet High And Rising
8 Prince - Sign O' The Times
9 PJ Harvey - Rid Of Me
10 NWA - Straight Outta Compton
The MSNBC list in response to the spin article actually has alot more interesting picks (please don't ever tell anyone that i agree with MSNBC's picks for anything).
